Happy hump day wastelanders, this is the always loyal Mr. New Vegas bringing you another busy news bulletin update.
You know folks, the Courier has me so busy that I’ve had to hire an assistant! It’s not just Freeside who has seen employment skyrocket, your humble newsman has had to expand his operations. But enough about me, how about the Mojave?
In a stunning victory over the Nipton Raiders, Courier Six has announced no casualties on the side of the Mojave Armed Forces and over a hundred prisoners which will be turned over to the NCR for legal proceedings. Secretary of Defense Judah Kreger had this to say, “While young, our armed forces showed that they have the ability to conduct large and complicated military operations domestically. This should be a deterrent to any hostile force wishing to make this region their plaything.”
What a statement by our Defense Secretary and what a statement made by our brave robots on the frontlines. I don’t know about you folks but I am feeling safer already.
Moving on, the NCR Ambassador to the Mojave, a Mr. Devin Dawes, has resigned his post citing “health reasons” and the position will temporarily be filled by his deputy, Mark Abrams. Let that be a reminder to anyone who thinks they can outmaneuver our dear Courier, it may be hazardous to your health!
One more for you folks. New Vegas has seen an increase of economic activity due to government funding of Freeside and increased travel from the NCR but the affluent of New Vegas have opened a gym near Michael Angelo’s workshop. That’s right folks, people are PAYING to lift heavy things and run around. If that’s not a sign of the changing times, I don’t know what is.
New Vegas truly is the place to start again.
