Lucian grew a smile as he placed the paper back onto the table. He would not be writing his response yet for he needed to know some more information about where he was going to go. After all, he was going to be traveling towards lands unknown without a point to travel towards. Really the Peasant Knight needed time for himself to figure out in which direction he was going to go.
Rising from his chair Lucian made his way through the castle. All about the walls were murals and pieces of artwork that covered the lime-coated walls. They were of varying levels of neatness and perfection with the better kinds being closer to the courthouse. Other walls were still bare, lacking both the painting and the lime white that made them able.
It was pleasing to the eyes let the walls be covered in art or simple stone masonry.
Walking out to the front Lucian watched as a courier ran past him. The Peasant looking as if he was being chased by Banshees. Morrslieb though did not hang in the sky as Lucian studied the rally grounds between the castle and the walls which made it so formidable.
Lucian walked a path that he walked weekly. Many times he had to travel it for both measurements and to inspect the work that had been done. Never before had the Knight been disatisfied with the work of Adok and he knew today was the final dedication.
The smell of coal came into Lucian’s nose as he caught sight of the forge. He could hear the fires roaring as the contraption that Adok had installed into the forge made the fires become as hot as the sun in the sky.
The forge was an open place, the walls being torn down so that Adok could better improve the forge by his own hands. The rhythmic hitting of the hammer caused the very winds themselves to shutter. Sparks that Lucian would swear to have been magic flew as the Dwarf turned to face his companion.
“You finished reading the letter? We gotta go teach him a lesson?” The Dwarf asked as he gave a devious smile.
“I’ve decided that we will head out immediately.” Lucian answered with a cheer, “And I will be sending him some letters in case he wishes to follow. No reason we cannot accept the help.”
“Ha, so we might as well get it cleared along the way.” The Dwarf laughed with his own cheer, “Well be sure to smack him in the head when he finally makes it.”
