“Just beware, when the time comes, I’m going to kiss you.” You wiggle your damn eyebrows like it’s your bird mating dance! You won’t miss this chance.
“When the time comes, you have my permission.” Emily is willing to wait for the correct moment. “Has anyone told you that they like it when you do that? The eyebrow thing?”
“I can tell by their looks.” You continue making them dance. Of course everyone loves it!
“And what does mine say?” Emily wonders.
“Those rosy cheeks tell a fun story.” You joke as you continue the wavy movement.
“These?” Emily pulls her cheek to an absurd degree. You haven’t forgotten about her skin’s absurd elasticity. You don’t think this is how weight loss works, but Emily is a special girl.
“Woah~!” You find this impressive still.
“Hehe, it’s my go to trick to scare my little cousins now.” Emily shows. Maybe you could bring her to the Dewitt Household to produce some magic tricks together. “Shall we go to the concert before the entry queue gets too long?”
“We have VIP tickets, I don’t think it’s going to be an issue.” You point out despite any real experience going to massive concerts. “But better be safe than sorry.” You hold her hand.
“Right~!” Emily smiles back. For a moment there, she thought she started floundering the date with the cheek stuff.
You take the necessary transportation to arrive where the event is being hosted: The Space Park (No affiliation with Galactic)! It’s an arena that holds multiple events of all kinds during the year, from concerts, comedy shows, sumo matches, and everything in between. You see large banners decorating the entrance, all of them are Carol’s. Merchandise sellers are everywhere in their stands as the lines to the entrance have already formed. Rabid fans buy any and all trinkets with Carol’s face on them. There’s not a single soul here who isn’t eagerly awaiting for your ex-wife to open her mouth in an act few working minds dare to call ‘singing’.
You noticed that Vortexia is tonight’s opening act! Why did nobody tell you!? You’re her manager! You should know! You assume this was decided long before you hired her (before yesterday).
With no previous event-going culture under your belt, you have little to no clue where to go aside from joining the queue. Emily, on the other hand, points out there’s a sign for VIP entries by one of the side entrances.
The sheer amount of people standing around is staggering, but what is really surprising is how many of them you actually recognize! You’ll have to dodge some bullets, mines, and everything in between to make this date go smoothly in its final patch.
Sadly, this is all we have for this week’s thread! Thanks for playing, and see you next time!
