“I thank you for the service that you brought to Sir Osmond.” The Knight finally said, “You are as Albera described. Single-minded in your pursuit and blessed for it.”
“Is… is that so?” Lucian asked with some confusion still in his voice.
The Knight ignored the question that Lucian asked and walked over to the corpse that he was taking care of. Where they were focusing Lucian could not see because of the Witchfire. Did the Knight know the person or was he simply trying to figure out what to say to Lucian.
It was hard to say, for a Grail Knight was a being beyond Humanity. Lucian could not easily rule that the Knight was looking for words when he would be certain in his pursuits.
“What is your understanding of what you fight? The Vampires and the undead, do you understand what they are?”
It was an odd question to which Lucian had to shake his head to. He did not dare say anything that was a wrong answer.
“Holding your tongue in fear of ignorance is not what Nobleman do.” The Grail Knight said with a firm understanding of the situation, “I suspect your ignorance. To know how deep it is will help me address the issue with a perfected lance.”
Taking those words Lucian answered, “Then it is the dark gods. The four who work their magics upon Beastmen and mutants.”
“You are incorrect, though know that there is no shame in being wrong.” The Grail Knight told Lucian, “All undead, let it be lich, zombie, or vampire, trace their roots to the first Necromancer ever to live. His name is Nagash, remember it well.”
“Nagash?” Lucian felt those words come across his tongue like a rough venom.
“I have heard that Nagash came from the lands to the south, Araby. There he created the arts of Necromancy and they then spread across the world.” The Grail Knight told Lucian, “It is said that he fought Sigmar at the birth of the Empire, and that his lieutenants were the skeleton hordes that attacked the south during the time of Gilles the Uniter. Some claim him to be a god, others say that he vies for that position in usurping the Gods themselves. To what truth I cannot say. What I do know is that all undead are swayed under him.”
>That… that changes everything
>Thank you for the information
>It does not change a thing.
