Taking the dragon ball, you reflect upon it as you recall the total number so far. There was the four-star found in a bird's nest near your house, the five-star dragon ball Bulma's father found twenty years ago. That's two so far, then there's the two-star dragon ball she found in a village. Paying off an elderly woman for the heirloom for a good price. So with this dragon ball, there were only three left. Talk about luck, you didn't think things would go that easy for you. You honestly figured that it would take the entirety of your summer vacation to gather the dragon balls. It was only the tenth of May but given your grades you along with several others were able to start your vacation early.
So with any luck, you could finish your adventure by the end of May if you restrict yourselves from taking the easy way and just fly to your destination. If anything, you sort of want to romanticize traveling around the world in eighty days or less. Now that was a fine way to spend your summer vacation with Bulma and Chi-Chi. One was the heiress of the illustrious Capsule Corporation, the other was a member of the McRoberts family. Owners of a multinational fast food chain, which of course share the same name as their surnames. Sure, Chi-Chi's father was the shogun warlord of the region of Mount Frying Pan and the correlated cities, Paozu included. Making Chi-Chi a member of royalty by extension.
At the same time, they're transitioning to a figurehead position as they're part of the newly formed council. Giving them the free time to run their fast food empire properly, while simultaneously keeping their heritage intact. Mainly by one of the council spots directly in the possession of the Mcroberts family. In other words, six elected citizens, with the current warlord presiding as a seventh. Either way, that meant that both girls were effectively loaded, so money for this worldwide trip wasn't exactly an issue. So you didn't really mind relying on them to support you in this venue. Besides, you were doing your part already being a major player in the dragon ball hunt and a bodyguard. You more than earned this.
Cracking a warm, genuine smile at Yamcha, you take the dragon ball from him. Slowly placing it into your dress pocket while looking at him straight in the eye. "Thanks, Yamcha. I'll treasure it fondly."
"Now this a rare treat. You don't get to see the illustrious Son Koku smiling like this." Yamcha teased, earning a shove from you in response.
"Don't make me out to be a sour puss." You argued, folding your arms with a harumph. "I have you know despite what my natural expression gives, I'm quite the expressive person."
"Could've fooled me. Your little show earlier was a complete 180 of what you're normally like. Felt like a genuine cry for help." Yamcha retorts.
"I was flirting!" You pouted. "I was hoping to have some fun and tease you a bit. But you didn't take the bait."
