The main issue is that he calls people stupid and harangues them for voting against him, even when he's already winning. People who whine that everyone else is 'voting wrong' are very annoying, and their adamant assertion that quests have only one 'right answer' in votes undermines the entire concept of quests as an exploratory collaborative adventure.
And, of course, he frames it as 'just telling it like it is' and 'being too REAL for the snowflakes', which is what loudmouthed assholes do when called out.
It's 4chan, though. It is what it is.
