There was a sudden strain within the stomach of Lucian. It was like a deman was sitting upon his intestines and strangling them with his mighty hands with a devilish grin. Lucian had experienced worse pains in the past but this was not something he could withstand easily regardless.
He did not want to say what caused such a reaction but the Priest of Morr had to tell the truth, “I… I don’t know. I don't know where it is.”
The Priest shook his head to those words, “I was there a week after the incident and I found that the ritual site was mostly cleaned of objects and relics, including the sword.”
Lucian reached back into his memories of that night, “I… I remember the Knight balancing himself upon the sword in our final moments. Watching it barely move across my eyes as I parried it and struck a killing blow. The weapons… it might have been covered by the Knight’s own ashen body. When he turned to dust by Morr’s might.”
“So that would explain why the weapon was not collected at that time.” The Priest said as he rubbed his chin, “Who did the clean-up? Who took care of the scene?”
“I had no part in that.” Lucian said quickly, “The next night we were all preparing to march out north against the Greenskins. I did not have the time to return to the site to even collect his ashes.”
“Possibly was it cleaned to the orders of the Duke?”
“Alberea the Golden, she was there.” Lucian said quickly as he caught the memory of her face upon that fateful night, “She was there with the Grail Knight Galandril to collect the corpse!”
“But did you see them leave with it?” Wolfram’s question was just a hammerblow to Lucian, “If what you said is right then the sword was lost, either hidden by chance or perhaps even hiding itself.”
“You… you think the weapon might be possessed?”
“It's not something we can rule out.” The Priest pointed out as he gave a huff of breath.
