“What… well, its obvious that we cannot let a weapon like that roam free.” Lucian said as he shook his head, “We have no idea if the weapon he was using was his own, or if it was something made by those necromancers. Right?”
“What we do not know is who made the weapon.” Wolfram pointed out with a teacher's finger pointed towards Lucian, “Maybe it was a Damsel who felt the Knight or his Bloodline was honorable enough to receive such a weapon. Or the Necromancers, sent out on a dangerous mission, were given a Grave Guard equipped with a magical blade to secure their safety.”
“Will the blade tell us who made it?” Lucian asked, “Is that even possible?”
“Every wizard has a signature of magic, even if they do not mean to leave one it will be there.” The Priest of Morr said as he took a drink of wine. Lucian wondered now if taking the drink was suppose to help steel his nerves for the Knight was honestly anxious about the situation, “Depending on how much pride of vanity the mage had their signature will be easier to find. The Artifacts of Nagash our order holds for instance, have the signatures of Nagash himself.”
“So if we find the artifact we can learn a lot about our enemy.”
“Yes.” The Priest said as he drank the rest of his wine, “The issue comes though if the weapon is sentient, either with a Daemon trapped within it or worse. If that's the case, it might even explain why a Damsel did not feel the weapon’s presence, it was hiding from her.”
“So if that weapon is thinking, it's got a brain in it, which means it can mess with people. If it can take someone over, doesn’t that mean it just took over a peasant and ran?” Lucian asked with concern laced in his voice.
“Depends on the weapon, but from what I have heard sentient weapons are picky. It might be sickened at the idea of a peasant just picking it up let alone carrying it back to its home. Damn I wished we had an Inquisitor.” The man’s eyes focused on Lucian for this next moment, “Lucian, I know you are on your journey already, but this weapon might be the key we are looking for. I do not know how long will it take, but can I have your help searching for it within the city?”
>Yes, we need to find it.
>No, we need to get to Albion!
