SUCCESS
You shoot your hands forward feinting a strike, he draws his arms in to guard but that just puts his hands right where you need them. You grasp his wrists and slam them to the ground as you lean back.
"Rule one when fighting a suspect." You say outloud as you bring your head down with much speed into the top of his nose, you try to avoid breaking it. You withdraw your head, your own headache now brewing.
"Keep control of the suspects hands."
As he holds his now bright red and lumped nose you pull your cuffs and hook him up. Standing slowly and breathing heavily. Hawthorne puts two fingers in his mouth and whistles sharply before clanging the bell.
"Well would you look at that." He says smirking at Miller. "Turns out my Rookie can handle his own fights after all." He gives you a thumbs up and nods for you to come down. You slide under the ropes breathing heavy from the adrenaline and feel a heavy clap on your back from Hawthorne. You watch Miller climb into the ring and go to his own Rookie helping him up off his back. You watch as he rubs the sizeable lump you left on him and Miller un-cuffs him. His eyes stare at you but you can't really get a feel on the intent behind them, they almost seem dead. He shares a few hushed words with Miller as Hawthorne chuckles and taps away on his phone, probably telling some other officer about this.
"You ready to get back to the precinct?" He asks you. "I have a sneaking suspicion we're gonna be less than welcome here for a little bit."
"Might not be a bad idea." You tell him, rubbing your own aching head.
"Hey wait." You hear the rookie speak to you from the ring as he walks over to the edge. He kneels down and extends a hand through the ropes.
"Apologies for giving you the evil eye earlier. I thought you were..." His voice trials off. "I thought maybe you didn't earn your spot. Figured you'd be a decoration for brass to break out when GCPD was accused of being hostile to Metas, but I see now. We're on the same side here." He stretches the hand a little bit more to meet yours.
