"Adam, stand guard. Lex, go help those chucklefucks. Benedict, go ahead and cook us something. Ashley..." You snap your fingers and put on your best faux-District 7 accent. "Cano a girrrl get some of tat sweat-a, sweat sound-a?"
[REPRESSED UNSTABLE] Benedict's unconverted eye twitches with a darkly familiar fury. It almost vanishes immediately as he begins to grind his teeth. He lets out a sound half between a grunt and gears grinding together. "Never. Do that. Again. FECCIA."
Huh? That was honestly the most coherent his speech has been so far.
[OVERCORRECTION] "Woah, woah. Let's not cause anyone's stomachs to implode through shitty accents." Adam tries his best to calm down the situation. Neither of you are paying attention. This only makes him more nervous.
"Fetch-a? The fuck does that mean?" Lex fails to hide his smirk.
"I know a little. It meant scum. The accent was pretty horrid." Ashley does her best to explain. You visibly deflate upon hearing this, you were doing good! Right?
Adam nods, wiping away at his sweaty forehead. "Correct. Though it can also mean filth or dirt, depending on the context.
"Whatever you say. I trust that your magic words mean what they mean." Lex can't even pretend to care about this conversation. "I'll go help those dipshits." He makes his way over to the front of the ship. You can see there's six sailors trying their best to move a really big, black cube out of storage-
[ANOMALOUS ABILITIES] Wait. Isn't that a containment cube? You suppose it's a good precaution if there's any weird entities out here.
[PERSON OF INTEREST] I don't like this, Nicole. Let's get moving.
"FeH. TheY don'T underSTAnD the PERFECTION of my MOTHER tONGue." Benedict mutters as he finds a small spot on the deck to sit down at. Ashley sits down alongside him. After tuning her guitar, she starts to play.

"Do you understand what it meant to me?" She hums to nobody in particular. "When you waltzed in with that melody?" It's clear she's just making them up on the spot so they're not super great. "To show me a glimpse of your starlight, a glimmer for a perfect life." She begins to tap her foot on the ground, trying to keep a steady beat
While the lyrics could use some work, the guitar itself and her singing is...nice. You can't really recall the last time you listened to something like this. Most of the actual song seems to be focused on the guitar itself and her singing than any actual lyrics. Her singing voice is completely different from her regular voice. It's smooth, clear, feminine. A lot better to listen to compared to the gravely tone she speaks with.
Most of the crew doesn't seem to acknowledge her singing, too busy with their own tasks to care but the few who do besides your group are nodding along to the rhythm. Adam taps his foot along to the song while he watches the sea, leaning against the rusted railing standing between him and the endless sea.
