That building would prove to be your home for the next 124 days. Your refuge as well, as it turns out, because everywhere outside of the time chamber's humble hut was unpredictable at best, and outright hostile at worst. Temperatures would be blistering hot one moment and freezing cold the next, galeforce winds would randomly appear and disappear, the very air would be so thin that breathing provided nearly no benefit and then so thick that the air pressure formed bruises all across your skins and made your lungs feel like they would pop.
And every day, Garlic would push you to move further and further from the shelter, driving you deeper into even worse conditions in order to forge your body and mind even more than they've already been. Your training at Yunzabit Heights came in handy here, and you can honestly say you got more use out of your 'Climate Cloak' technique than anything else in your stay. If you hadn't learned such, you doubt you would have lasted even half as long as you did in these conditions...
Garlic himself was an even more demanding teacher than he was before, now that he no longer had a facade to hold him back. He accepted nothing less than perfection from you, which was exceptionally difficult to achieve in the harsh conditions of the time chamber. You could tell he wanted to punish you personally for each failure - and likely out of revenge as well - but his limited store of energy meant he couldn't afford to waste a single drop of energy. The only time he called upon the life force given to him was when he needed to demonstrate techniques to you, and outside of that he stuck to forcing you to memorize countless theories in order to complete your education.
He showed no interest in socializing with you whatsoever outside of what was required of him, his grudge against you remaining strong for the entire duration of his stay. You'd quietly been hoping to soften that evil heart of his, but his mind seemed absolutely set on hating you for thwarting his ambitions. Whenever you did try to interact with him on a more casual basis, he was quick to threaten your life - and if you pushed beyond that, he'd begin to tremble with barely contained rage...you didn't want to push him too far, so you never went beyond that.
On one of your final days, when the rigors of the chamber were finally starting to get to you from the accumulated stress and weariness, Garlic approached you about his final lesson: A ritual that all of his people conduct. One which would tie your own power to the movement of celestial bodies, so that you may grow as they do, and wane when they do. The rarer such an event is, the greater your power should be at its height. You considered your options carefully...
