“Finished already?” The Dwarf asked as the moonlight obscured his face. Yet Lucian could hear the sarcasm that was laced within the voice, “You making us go all the way out here for this. You’re lucky we didn’t have any troubles getting their gate open.”
“To that we must give out thanks to Tee-Nee-Tyny.” Lucian said as he gave a friendly gesture to the Lizardman, “I don’t think it will be smart to be here overnight though.”
“Wise, warmbloods have already witnessed Bok.” The Lizard said as he stood on the head of his bodyguard, “As continue East, yes? To Castle Bastonne?”
“It will be a few more days but I think we can make it there.” Lucian said as he felt a little disheartened at the notion, “I don’t think we will be staying in any villages for a little while either.”
“Just for a couple of days.” Adok said as he rub his hands through his beard, “The Duke here was my Warden once, he will keep an eye out for us for the favors I did for him.”
“Both are correct, Tyny does not wish to be torched by Warmbloods.” The Lizard said as he gave exaggerated nods, “Avoid villages for two Counties, we should be good.”
“Then we have our plan. Travel in secret until about halfway to Bastonne, then we can look for a place to sleep and relax.”
“Sounds good, and I have been keeping up my ale stocks so I should only be dry by the second day.” Joked the Dwarf as he began moving Truffles towards the east.
Under the light of Mannslieb the group began making their way towards Castle Bastonne. The home of the First King Gilles le Breton. It was the place where Lucian was both enabled and Knighted, where the corpse of Grail Knight Osmond was at rest.
He only feared if returning to such a blessed place would bring the same issues Lucian had to fight before. But looking upon the rament of his lady, he did not fear what was to come.
