What makes Diesel <span class="mu-i">Diesel</span>, huh? Focusing as hard as you can on that question, you feel the stinging clouds surrounding your thoughts start to ease up a bit. What… what <span class="mu-i">does</span> make you <span class="mu-i">you?</span>
There’s the <span class="mu-s">PIZZA PLACE,</span> of course… the heat of the kitchen greeting your face as Uncle Emilio greets you with the usual enthusiastic ‘<span class="mu-i">EEEEEYYY</span>’ that nearly knocks the cigarette out of his mouth. The sweaty, hairy bear hug he always traps you in… and finally the chiding about how you aren’t eating enough.
That’s Diesel right there.
Then there’s Master Laika at your <span class="mu-s">DOJO–</span>your only refuge besides <span class="mu-s">PIZZA MIND</span>. The drills were tough, the master was strict, but at the end of the day sore muscles, drooping eyelids and a few cigarette burns were much better than what was waiting for you at school… or at home.
In these places you’re <span class="mu-i">some</span>body. Not just a ‘<span class="mu-i">new kid</span>’ or a ‘<span class="mu-i">little punk</span>’. In these places you have <span class="mu-i">power</span>. In these places, you’re <span class="mu-i">you</span>.

Here too, you realize as the fires of rage begrudgingly fade from your mind, you’re needed… you’ve got a <span class="mu-s">PURPOSE!</span> You’ve got people looking out for you–that need your help! That want <span class="mu-s">you!</span>
