An elderly man in a olive green military uniform stands before your group. His old age has clearly hampered his physique since he's hardly taller than you. Thin grey hair and clouded grey pupils tells you he probably should've retired a while ago. He holds out a thin, sickly looking arm while trying his best to offer a welcoming smile. It almost looks forced on his face from how stiff it is.
You grab his hand- HOLY FUCK HIS GRIP. You damn near feel the bones in your hand shatter from his handshake. he lets go after making sure he didn't actually break it. His attention turns to the two who caught his actual fancy.
"Seriously, why ARE you two here? Alexis, weren't you talking to some of my associates a few weeks back? Naomi, what's wrong with your hand?" He immediately closes the gap between himself and your group to examine Naomi's bloody hand. Naomi hisses from his examination before, with an odd fluidity you just now noticed, changing her facial expression.
"An accident. Nothing you need to worry about." She responds with a calm, level tone. "We were just checking the base. For anything involving my friend's mission." She nods in your direction while trying not to make eye contact.
You let out a shuddering breath. Best not to think about what you know about her now. "Yeah. Nicole Smith. Assigned to help with your recruitment issue. We were just planning on checking somewhere else if this is off limits."
The old general's smile fades but you can tell it's not out of displeasure. "Ah, business. I assume that's why Alexis is here?"
"Correct, sir." Alexis nods. "I assisted with getting Q-Corp and E-Corp's goons under control."
"Excellent." The General narrows his eyes at Kiara. Kiara returns the favor. "...Ever covered a war before?"
"Yeah, why?"
"Just felt like asking. Now, mind if I follow you four?" You feel like he's not actually asking a question here. "Ah. Where are my manners? Major General Alex Miller, at your service."
You doubt you have much time on this base if someone with a rank that important sounding is following you now.

>If someone THIS important is watching you, showing off your stuff at the training course is probably enough to get him to agree to anything you propose. (You'll get a chance to improve you and your allies' stats.)
