You frown and bolt up, breaking the sound barrier and leaving a small crater behind you. As you reach the air, you spin around and see where the taco place would be. You can’t help but smirk. Sure, the kid is fast, but he obviously can’t fly. Even if it’s not the most efficient, you decide to just move there as if you stood completely still.
You bolt once more and whoever may have seen you now sees nothing but air. And in another instant, you stop right in front of the taco place. The air you displaced in front of you smashes into a few humans and makes them lose their footing. They look at you, astonished. You look at them as the insects they are, you see them shake as they get up and run away. The Flash was already there, standing by the table, but when he sees people fall, he helps a few of them up in an instant then raises his hands.
“Chill everybody.” He points back towards you with his thumb. “This guy is with the flash. He’s League approved. Now if the people who want pictures could please make a line.”
The Flash moves towards the line that’s slowly forming. Some of the people there are looking at you astonished, you hear various digital clicking sounds as they take pictures and videos of you. You approach the Flash, floating completely still, multiple people have to move out of your way and you now stand right besides the human.
He looks you up and down. “Ground control to major Nolan, you can land.”
You raise an eyebrow and land beside him. The crowd rushes you both. The Flash raises a hand to whisper into your ear. “You look a bit stiff. You alright, right?”
“Right.” You respond, barely able to hide your irritation.
The Flash smiles and waves around, signing a few autographs before whispering in your ear again. “People aren’t used to see folks floating and uh… brutally landing in front of them.”
You nod. “Sorry, back home it was the usual.”
You then feel people touch you. Your arms, your back, your sides. Anger builds up, and you’d very much like to tear the arm off that person, but maybe a light shove will do.
