>>5738009>update should happen tomorrow!>4 days agoHate. Thank you all for bearing with me, this thread is a disaster and the update schedule shows no signs of improving.
>>5738077>So the forgetting was Rinnier's affinity, right?Primarily, yes! A conversation with Rinnier some time ago regarding how it felt to go from being an Adept to not was the immediate parallel to the current experience - Though in her case, she couldn't put a bracelet back on. Another anon brought up similarities to descriptions of the dead zones and they're also not wrong! All three of these things are intrinsically sort of tied together as firsthand illustrations of existing without the Mana.
Between the two, the dead zones would be immeasurably worse since even non-adepts can be ground away by it. It has been some time since it was brought up, but "symptoms" of that sickness is a gradual loss of will to live - And I mean this in both the literal and metaphorical fashion! The dead zones drive away even the ambient presence of Dryad, which will inevitably lead to death, but you will be dead inside long before your death happens. The effort it takes to think, to eat, to subsist and take care of yourself, to the point where even breathing becomes a tedious chore you'd rather do without. Depending on the mental and emotional integrity of the individual, they may actually die of natural causes via simply giving up before absence of Dryad can force the issue.
That said, when I say they would be "worse", I mean this in the sense that even the most Mana-oblivious individual will still be affected by dead zones, where as they could go their entire life never knowing what it's like to be connected to a Mana. To an Adept however, that sudden absence is potentially just as damaging mentally, even if they don't have to worry (or look forward to) Dryad's absence as a mortal deadline.
>the clarification on not being ruined yet was a bonus for understanding the mechanics of our intersecting conditionsThis is also accurate! Irue knows firsthand that Dryad can just decide you are not allowed to die, but has little knowledge of how far Lily's authority goes in that regard. It is safe to assume that Lily will naturally try to keep Irue alive, which, due to how your Shade scar works (we remember the details of this right? I can type up a reminder if necessary), means Irue has very few alarms before hitting a wall. Rather inadvertently, you're skirting the territory of "the only HP that matters is the last one" with no way of telling how much HP you actually have.
>>5739844If Lily were less of a Mana and more human, yes! As it stands, no.
>>5741055I feel like I will regret answering this, but Rinnier is significantly stronger than Irue. This isn't unusual, most of the cast is. She could drag Irue around by force if she felt so inclined.
>>5741669I will get to this in a second post. It's not a long answer, but character limits are reached with this sentence.
