“I’ll trust Suan De, I’m following.” You trust the people you asked to join the party.
“God damn it, I can’t protect stupid!” Vera facepalms.
“Just don’t make her angry…” Scarlet sighs.
“I’d never do that.” You solemnly raise your hand.
“...If you want to give us a chance to help you, you’ll have to scream before she lunges at you, not after being stabbed.” Vera sarcastically advises.
“I have an idea!” Scarlet knows a way to make sure you aren’t horribly hurt. “Suan De, promise us that you’re not going to hurt him!”
“I promise.” Suan De has no problem agreeing with these terms.
“Do you mean it?” Scarlet uses her great pressuring tactics to get a good answer.
“Yes.” Suan De dryly says. Scarlet looks somewhat satisfied.
“...I’m beginning to understand why, despite having so many allies, Johnny almost gets killed every five minutes.” Vera really regrets not reconnecting earlier.
“Maybe we should ask if she has any weapons?” Liu adds.
“I don’t.” Suan De poignantly responds.
“Liar. Liu, search her body.” Vera demands her pet to act.
“M-Me?” Liu didn’t expect to act like a lousy cop.
“It was your idea, do it.” Vera commands.
“Feel free.” Suan De wants everyone to trust her as she stands in a T-pose.
“Uhm…” Liu quickly puts her hands on the slob. “I don’t feel anything.”
“She has a flame, it doesn’t matter.” Vera rolls her eyes.
“I-It was your idea, Cheesy.” Scarlet is surprised by Vera’s… actions.
“No, it was Liu’s. Now, Liu, take the fall.” Vera orders her minion.
“I’m sorry…” Liu apologizes. Then she shakes her head. “I learned how to stand up for myself, why am I doing this?”
“Because deep down, you know your place, Liu.” Vera points out. “As my friend, this is what friends do for each other.”
“Quiet now, I wanted a brief moment with him, this is a waste of time.” Suan De is done being interrogating. “Follow me outside the room.”
“Sure.” You watched the trio being silly enough, and follow the Dragon’s lead.
You’re in the hallway right outside the Base. The worried trio is watching through a tiny gap on the door. Suan De walks over to it.
“What’s wrong?” You scratch the back of your head in confusion.
“Were you instructed to name-call me at every instance when I come back to act on my role as the Spy Dragon? Is this relentless humiliation part of Master Spice’s plan? Or is it all you?” Suan De really wants to know who to blame.
Yeah, it was a short inquiry by Suan De, and you can see why she wanted to ask you and you alone.
