>The Idol [+1 counter-intrigue re-rolls]
>You would not forget, star crossed lovers you might be but her love was alien, removed from the mortality of human fickleness, it was a thing purer than your Fathers and you would honour that if nothing else. [Taciturn]
You brought the idol up to the moonlight, it was a horror wrought in some heavy metal that was at once silver as the full moon and blacker than crabs claw, the creature or god it might have been caused you a shudder to look upon, perched like a gargoyle though its features were both like that of a toad and some nightmarish sea creature, it reminded you of the impossible thing that caused you to half wretch in memory of, seven above know why your lover might have given it to you but you promised yourself you would treasure it even as you shivered.
She had after all offered herself to you….. In a fashion though some small part of you doubted it, she was like the tides, hard to read and ever changing and alien to you beyond reckoning but she had kissed you like she had meant it with both lust and chastity and in a fashion given you her favour. Perhaps love was truly a thing as the bards say, but if it was it was wholly removed from the world of men, stranger, truer and more pure than what your Father would call it but worth all the more for it.
You grasped the idol to your chest and promised you would honour that affection if nothing else and slipped back into the icy water.
