The shanty town that was connected to Castle Bastonne was just as Lucian remembered it. It kinda made sense as it has been just over a year since Lucian was within the city walls yet now he was a Nobleman. Instead the peasants kept working their fields nearby and there was a slow flow of traffic flowing through the city like anemic veins of commerce.
It was obvious after his first few steps that it was Lucian who changed the most. The Peasants who were scattered about the area quickly made way for the Black Knight and his company as they breached the outer streets of the shanty and crossed numerous roads. Even at intersections the peasants all stopped in what was likely horror at the group that was formed.
Lucian was at the front of them all, his heraldry displayed proudly upon the rump of Nightshade. Behind him was Adok who had a pole also displaying the banner of his person high into the air for all to see. Lastly, and likely what drove the greatest fear of all, as the two Lizardbeasts marching in the rearmost position. Upon the shoulders of the greater beast was the same heraldry that was drafted across Nightshade that were being held by a simple strands of gold.
For Tee-Nee-Tyny he wore a mantel with the colors of Lucian’s nobility upon him, but understandably did not have the raven upon himself. He was the Priest of different gods after all one would not expect him to wear the symbol of Morr upon his person.
It was both these articles and the sheer fear of the peasantry that prevented anyone from taking actions against them. None wished to attack the exotic allies of a Knight, even if many were clearly whispering that the Lizardmen were some kind of beastmen come to corrupt their peoples.
Though it was a soft stain upon his honor Lucian did not do anything about it. These people were simply the ignorant masses who he was sworn to protect. Simple misunderstandings was not something he could readily hang them across the gallows according to his vow.
Soon he came across the Morrish Death Temple. The doors always opened to the expectation of the Black Knight, he drove his black horse forward through the portal into the place where just a year ago over a half dozen of his own fellows were killed.
