>>5296099yeah, this is kind of a point i've only come to think of now, but unless there had been several technological apocalypses, the fringes having NO tech in comparison to the core worlds, or that technological development was stifled within the empire as to slow societal progress(which is inherently disruptive to already existing power structures and societal ideals) then there should be no possible way that medical technology isn't already at the point of human machine singularity. since even if tech was to become harder and harder to research as it became more advanced, the tech we are seeing right now should've been the developments maybe 150 years after solar expansion (at our current modern advancement)
im not saying bad QM'ing, at least not immediately, but at least as of right now without any other in universe explanation, the story becomes disbelievable really quickly, since as of my right now knowledge, this is meant to be a continuance from modern day and into the future, not some different, alternative earth, and therefor should follow at least most real life ideas if one is to stick with reality as it's origin (at least in terms of sci-fi universes)
