"And after that they will surely speak of ruin, both what happened to me and why I shall commit onto others." Lucian said as he felt himself lost for that single moment.
He could see it now on her lips, a small grin saying how right he was, "It would make quite the tale of bards. They love the tragedy of it all and in that there you shall gain a great deal of honor."
Lucian felt a small bit of confusion upon those words, "Honor in tragedy?"
The woman gave a nod in agreement with Lucian, "Adversity is how one gains honor. The greater the adversity the greater the honor that they gain."
She then raised a single slender finger. If it was upon anyone else Lucian would have been afraid for the person. Thinking that a simple breeze could snap it. Yet upon her hand they looked as firm as trees.
"He, Sir Galandril, became a Grail Knight by facing the two headed Ogre of Gastonne. He told me once that such a creature crushed his spear arm and left two of his fellow Questing Knights dead before his torch lit spear pierced the heart of the beast." She spoke with an authority that told Lucian it was true, "That night he became a Knight of the Lady and now serves as a Saint. Such tales have been sung in Gastonne for three centuries and in the occasional bar in Parravon."
"So a tale worthy of a bard is worthy of the Lady?" Lucian asked almost childishly.
"You are correct." She said before kneeling at his injury, "You are surely blessed by Morr. His guidance has saved your leg today. Now rest as I heal your limb. After we finish here you shall return to your sovereign."
As she said those words a brilliant yellow light came over the wound of Lucians thigh. It was almost instantly that the pain was gone and the darkness extinguished. After what was a minute she left him, Lucian rising to his feet as if his body was that of a toddler's.
After a few steps he gained his balance, finding that she had healed his leg to full.
As he was rising he saw that the Grail Knight had returned with a coffin in his arms. Though it was covered Lucian could still feel the faint divinity that was coming from underneath the cover of it. The Knight gave a nod to the Damsel, so the woman faced Lucian.
“For your efforts in recovering Sir Osmond, we will head straight to the Dukes to inform them of what happened here today. I hope you are in good standing with them.”
