>>5972495“I have a question. Multiple actually, and I’d like them answered before we continue with anything,” Your voice cuts through Midori’s yapping with ease as she ceases to speak when you start. It seems she has an excitable and subdued personality simultaneously, a strange oxymoron.
“For me or her?” The inquisitor asks.
“Both, but I’ll start with the Stranger.”
“Uh, yes ma’am what is it?”
“What exactly is a ‘designated waifu’ I’ve never heard that term before. Are you asking if I’m married?” It would be far from the first time.
Strangely the Midori starts to blush heavily as she tries and fails to stutter out a response. Equally strange is the fact that Asher is struggling to not choke on his laughter, does he also know what the term means? “What’s so funny?” You end up having to ask after a minute of stutters and laughs, “Is it some kind of joke or insult?” You grow a bit worried as when Asher sees your honest confusion he only laughs harder.
“N-nothing! It means nothing, slip of the tongue! I didn’t mean anything by it!” The Stranger exclaims at last.
“No, it obviously means-”
“Nothing! It means nothing! Can we please move on? Pretty please!” The strange woman looks an unhealthy shade of red.
“Uh, alright then,” You’re so confused, “Can I see your sword then?” Maybe in the meantime, the inquisitor will recompose himself.
“Oh, sure!” The Stranger looks very happy to change the topic and immediately hands over the strange weapon.
The weapon itself is insanely light, to the point it barely registers you’re wielding a sword. It’s sharp too, though you’re not certain the material the blade is made of, perhaps some magically infused alloy? The sword practically radiates mana. It’s also rather comfortable to hold, the sword is amazing it feels like you could just-
She. Is. MINE!Immediately a jolt of magic flies through your body and reacts negatively with the sword. A rather loud shock of electricity forces you to drop the magic instrument with a small cry of surprise, though not pain. The sword falls discarded to the floor with a rather large clank before disappearing.
“Oh my gosh, are you okay?!” Suddenly the Stranger is out of her seat and violating your personal space, her long hair blocking your vision as she grabs your wrist to inspect it.
Rather forcefully you wretch your hand back and subconsciously use your other to rub your palm. “I’m fine,” You say, a bit harsher than you intended.
“Oh, uh, sorry,” Not knowing what else to do the Stranger returns to her seat.
“Alright, maybe playing with Cheat Skills isn’t the smartest decision around. That does give me a question though. Suzuki is your sword influencing you in any way? Talking verbally or in your head? Maybe you’ve noticed desires that you haven’t had before?” The inquisitor asks, now looking much more serious than he had before.
