https://youtu.be/QiJnstjBA9QThey walk out to the scrap heap, and Maple continues, "And they all told me taking out fire, flood, earthquake, tornado, and nuclear radiation insurance for a remote mountaintop property was foolish. Joke's on them, it's fools who obtain the world!"
"Eh? How do fools obtain anything?" Peppa asks.
Maple wags a finger, coming off as quite the Gurumezza, and explains, "Nothing is guaranteed no matter how much you keep doing the sensible thing. There's always a risk to doing anything, so if it's worth it you really just have to gamble and hope it all works out."
Peppa thinks on the day she's had, and that bit of reasoning her mother is using to justify getting five kinds of insurance from the elements. To her annoyance, Peppa can't argue against it with how everything went.
Maple grins cheekily. "And a bit of foresight doesn't hurt neither!"
>Common Knowledge! FORESIGHT<span class="mu-i">Maple can see the Future, and on some occasions it proves useful!</span>
"Eh," Peppa eloquently replies, "If the future is uncertain, betting everything on your interpretation of a vision could harm your chances as much as it helps."
"That's where hoping helps," says Maple. She looks up at the sky, seeing dark blue clouds clashing with the orange light of the setting sun.

<span class="mu-i">"The fool will get their world back any day now. They have to."</span>===
"-and then we took turns smashing shit. Mom said it took her back to her early days of getting welcomed to Earth, going all 'Maple Smash!'"
You cough, a bit scandalized, but ask, "Any other details from that evening?"
Peppa flips her vape-pen around, and recalls, "For all that she was venting, there was this bit where she was doing a combo on our old oven with the yellowed glass, going 'EFF, YOU! EFF, YOU!' She seemed like she had it out for that one oven in particular, but not enough to say Fu-"
"Shush with that, you!" you interject. "Children frequent this bar."
She glares at you, temple flaring. "I <span class="mu-s">own</span> this bar."
"Glad we're on the same page!" You flip to a new page. "Now, Girl B?"
Peppa rolls her eyes, instead contenting herself to take a drag of the pen. "So, next was Girl B...
Krysmus."
You pause your writing, and frown.
That name doesn't start with a B! Your pattern is ruined!(Welp, that should be a fair amount of words, I'll continue later, for now I have to catch up on the sleep of last night I skipped over. Hope y'all enjoyed it.)
