“N-No! It’s fine. She insists. She couldn’t wait once she heard about the fanclub.” Liu adds. You nod to confirm.
“That is my juicy Johnny’s charm.” Primavera gets you.
Liu looks at you in a way that conveys that she does NOT think of you as juicy in any way, shape or form.
“So what’s truth and what’s fiction?” Primavera wants to learn about what happened.
“Huh?” Sadly, Liu wasn’t expecting this question.
“The gatekeeping, Liu. You ruffled some feathers with the others.” Primavera actually likes this.
“I-I think we came across as meaner than we intended. Mae wants to talk to someone as knowledgeable about Johnny as herself. And I thought, uhm, that you’re the only one who can match her.” Liu explains the logic.
“Liu, you’re so smart. Evidently, I’m the person who knows Johnny the best, and it’s only natural you start recognizing it.” Primavera likes her ego being stroked. “There’s nothing wrong with the likes of you and Gwen liking him superficially. All fans are legit. Supporting my Johnny is all that matters.”
“R-Right…” Liu looks down, a little ashamed of herself.
“Now, Ms. Stranger Mae, you talk a big game, but I still wanna make sure that you’re not a poser, so, I’ll be throwing some questions to test you. I bet you’d like to do the same. Now, how can I help?” Primavera is ready to talk!
