>>5882809>unusual maps>STAR BRAIN>dungeon crawl? So in my last sci-fi game COSMOGONY setting, I hinted a little at a weird STAR BRAIN altar, this gif (if you look at it the image itself is from brain scanning tomography)

So I had an idea for a dungeon crawl based on a map of possibly something like this pic related. I was actually thinking of that old Dragon Age Origins videogame quest with huge nested objectives lol where you enter the Fade to rescue someone from a malevolent dream (I think if I remember your character must be a mage themselves to obtain that option). Also the videogame The Evil Within, that entire game has some brain scanning stuff and yes I also played and completed the Sword Art Online psp game (the anime horror nooooo) because Palmer Luckey of Oculus Rift and now that disturbing Anduril military company alongside a lot of Silicon Valley is now quite obsessed with it.
Pic related shows a 10-10 resolution (basically, each region is about 10% of the brain area or something) coordinates for some fNIRS system (near infrared non-invasive reflectance haemodynamic scanning system).
You could imagine each node being like a dungeon chamber (planet, star system...?) and if you really wanted to you could introduce some neo phrenology lol maybe intertwine each brain scan node / dungeon chamber with some emotion or memory or behavioural regulation thing etc.
There was going to be some lore in my sci-fi COSMOGONY game about how folding space as in outer space the universe was equivalent to traversing the innerspace, the star shaped branching cell astrocytes and neurotransmitters within the brain itself (this was where the haemolymph and weird stuff about the Isonomy space faction who controlled the space money Interstellar Denomination came from, why the Isonomy were obsessed with banning dreams). This was also the lore behind those weird Iddhi mentioned who could apparently travel through space without starships etc. Anyway, I had some vague ideas about this, but my setting was already too complicated to introduce any interaction for all of this background lore. I just mention it because maybe it might inspire other anons or give other people some game setting ideas
