Quoted By:
Right before you left the building, you paused by the door and thought for a moment. You distinctly remembered Elsa saying something about demons having psychic abilities that they used to possess mortals. And if Pandora’s words could be trusted, your mental defenses were lacking. You’d have to look into getting something to compensate for that.
If Delgi recruited more demons to his side, then they might have the ability to poke around in your head without you noticing. And if they manage to find out your identity after offering you the contract, you’d be well and truly fucked.
No, that idea was too dangerous. There were too many uncertainties. You’d be better off breaking in the old fashioned way. But before that, you’d better update the rest of your allies on this new development. Elsa would probably be the most interested. You just wished that you had a way to show her the contract…
Wait a minute. Maybe you did.

“I’ve gotta say, this isn’t what I had in mind when you invited me back to your place. This is quite the audience you have here.”
The woman in the blue cocktail dress stared around at the people before her, becoming a bit guarded as she realized that following you home might not have been the wisest course of action. Elsa wasn’t the only one to respond to your call. Anastasia and the rest of the Desperados were also present, with the Prowler looking menacing as ever, even with his disguise.
You all thought it too dangerous to meet up in the Mirage Hotel, so you decided to occupy one of the many properties that Gloria had spread out throughout the city. This one, in particular, was a dive bar that she’d had emptied for your convenience.
“Who did you say you were again?”
You gave her a vague, reassuring smile and stepped around her to join the others. Elsa stepped forward to replace you.
“I hope your boyfriend doesn’t make a habit out of bringing strange women home, Stasie.”
Ana rolled her eyes.
“There aren’t very many women stranger than you, Elsa.”
“I’m just saying, you’re not even a little bit jealous? Not even a teensy bit?”
She gave Elsa a confused look.
“Why would I be jealous? He is with me, not her.”
Everyone turned to look at her. It was an entirely sensible argument that absolutely no one could argue with.
“Besides, I could easily crush her if she wished to make advances.”
This time the woman did take a step back. Elsa quickly turned to reassure her.
“Alright, hang on now, darling. No one’s crushing anyone. I’m sure our new friend here had an entirely platonic reason for being here. Such as…having us pour over the contents of a recently formed demon contract?”
The woman stopped dead in her tracks. Her face had gone white, and her lips moved wordlessly.
“H-how did you…?”
“It’s my business to know these things, luv. What’s your name?”
“...Sophie.”
