The night quickly became a rumbling of activity as people began unbarring their homes and preparing the few wagons they had to flee with. The ground was quickly covered in useless trinkets, prizes, and family heirlooms as the chance at safety.
The activity was enough to get the attention of Lucian’s companions. When Adok rose from his slumber it was with heavy eyes and a quick question if he needed to bother working his shift now that there was people all over the place. Lucian agreed that his shift would not be needed and so the dwarf welcomed sleep once more.
When Tyny and Bok both awoke Lucian could see that the Skink was careful to look around at the surroundings. His eyes studying the workings of people as they struggled to get even the most simple things into their wagons.
Lucian had to explain the story to the Lizardman, to which he responded, “Tyny sees, warmbloods are taking advantage of situation. Their souls infested by the spirit of rats.”
“Sounds about right.” Lucian admitted as he turned towards the Lizard, “Think we have a chance?”
“Company does, yess.” The Skink said as he got to the top of Boks head and looked around, “Watch, Lucian has not been relieved.”
“I guess it is time to go to sleep.” Lucian said as he watched the folks struggle, “Do you want to take it over?”
“That and assist. Bok needs to perform labor.” The Lizard said as he reached down and scratched the neck of his fellow monster, “Before sleep we plan. Does the Baron Budapest approach tomorrow morning?”
“I… don’t think so. He does not have a camp nearby and sounded like a neighbor, so I think hes probably working out of his own fortress.”
“Then challenging him directly is available.” Pointed out the Skink, “Or we fight him here in ambush. Slaughter foolish warmbloods to a man for schemes equal to ratsss.”
>Let us challenge him directly
>Ambush is a good idea, for the man already played dirtily
>We wait for him here. He will come.
