She breathes a sigh of relief. "Thanks, don't modify it though, only change the soil, I want it... I want it to grow on its own." She opens her arms wide, and smiles smugly, as she often does. "Hold on, let me just- theeere we go, most of my cultist should, you know, not kill themselves when I'm gone. I'm an asshole, but that doesn't mean I like pointless deaths. You can...fuck, I'm not ready for this." You see her tremble, for a moment, you feel pity, but not enough to come back on your decision.
You ask her if she has any last words.
"Thanks for letting me look cool before I bite the dust, my boy, but anything I'd say would make me look more pathetic. Let me die standing."
You turn your silver arm into a blade, and you slowly approach her. You know it's dangerous to do that, but you feel like a gun is too impersonal. You stab her in the gut, she coughs up blood, but her smile doesn't leave her face. You tell her she did well making it this far, you're not sure why you say that, it just felt like the right thing to say.
She doesn't answer, and she lives by her last words, she dies standing as the blade goes up and goes through her heart and lungs. You can feel her magic go through you, then to Arachne. Even as the life leaves her eyes, she still makes sure the blood doesn't flood the flower.
Arachne doesn't say a thing, she's probably still processing the new magic reaching her. You're not sure if that's enough to get to the next level, you don't quite remember if Mona was on the edge or not.
