You say picturing in your mind the gradually reddening horizon as the first few rays of sunlight peak over the water. You give a contented sigh and "What about you Sotrea, have you ever seen the ocean?"
"No, I haven't. I was born and raised in Kakariko, these mountains and valleys are my home. I haven't seen a body of water bigger than the village springs. But I've always wanted to see the ocean I've been hoping that one of our missions would take us there but so far most of my assignments have been to inland towns and villages." She lets out a sigh and gazes out over the landscape. "And as a Sheikah we don't really get days off, or the freedom to go where we please. We're bound to serve until the day we die or are too old to be of any use."
There is a deep sadness tinged with no small amount of regret in Sotrea's words. You'd never given your decision to sign up with the Sheikah much thought, in the heat of the moment you went with the choice that felt right but now hearing Sotrea's doubt, your own starts gnaw.

> Becoming a Sheikah was your only way forward just the same way becoming a solider was back then. You became a soldier to not be stuck as fisherman and you became a Sheikah to not be stuck as a soldier.> You joined the Sheikah because you felt like it suited you better. You joined the army because you were better fighter than fisher, and now you joined the Sheikah because you'd be better as that than a solider.> You did it because it was your duty the king was calling for soldiers so you signed up. Then when Impa asked you to join her you saw it as a better way to continue that duty.>[Write In]What do you say to Sotrea?
> "Has no one ever left the Sheikah before? I'm sure there's some way to leave if you wanted."> "Have you ever just asked to go to the ocean. I'm sure if you insisted, they might have some mission that'd take you there.> "Well I can't take you to the ocean but if you close your eyes I can describe it in such detail you'll think you're really there.">[Write In]
