>>5734942>post-apocalyptic game>assign different items to different tech levels to gauge how hard they are to craft and what factions would typically have themThis is extremely cool, I like this! I slightly tend to associate wood with Bronze Age despite the Far Cry Primal videogame spear throwers etc. The reason is because if you have wood ie the axes to fell trees then you can also have timber and buildings of wooden structures and forestry etc and probably also start smelting furnaces with firewood or experimenting with charcoal etc it feels Bronze Age to me, no longer the caveman hunter gatherer thing.
Of course the videogame post apocalyptic Stone Age must use BONE, BONESWORDS SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE etc everyone must wear loincloths with dangling girdles of finger bones and teeth etc with skull maces and thingbone clubs and those Indian punch dagger swords except made out of mammoth tusks hehe like Dark Sun rpg
pic related is Metro Exodus cool bone tribe raider concept art for some reason I never completed this game I played up to the Caspian desert bit, I actually forgot why I never finished the game it was good but I think I must have started some other game and never went back to it. I think I was also a bit annoyed at getting the bad ending in the original Metro which I did complete, despite going around strumming all the guitars or whatever, and in that game I kept hoarding all the precious good bullet ammo never actually firing it, the setting is cool but the gameplay mechanics inhibit you from enjoying it lol
