Without care the orc slammed down the axe upon Lucian while bellowing a mighty warcry that shook the very earth underneath Lucian’s feet. He could see the mighty strength that was behind the blow and that the orc intended to simply shatter Lucian underneath the weight of the blow.
In this single moment Lucian realized something. He had been fighting as a peasant this entire time trying to avoid the blows of his enemy. That a single error in his fighting would come out to his death. He remembered back during his fight with the Undead Knight, the man having nearly severed Lucian’s leg off with a single blow of an enchanted weapon.
That was no longer the case.
Lucian braced himself for the first time for he knew where the attack was going to go. Moving himself just a few inches in the other direction so that the murderstroke did not land upon his neck but the shoulder.
And like that the blow connected, Lucian screaming but the armor that was given to him by Adok holding against the mightiest of blows made by the Orc.
As if vindication swelled through his body Lucian took the weapon and started the attack as well. The neck, wrists, and even face of the Black Orc had exposed to some extent. Every time Lucian could see the sparks flying across the field as his scythe bit nothing but the steel hide of the great beast.
With a bellowing warcry the Orc slammed his axe horizontally against Lucian, a strike against his chest. To this Lucian did not even adjust himself as the attack failed to even dent the armor. It did interrupt the strike that Lucian had been winding up yet he was still standing against such a mighty blow.
“Yer damn git! Die!” Bellowed the Orc as he brought the weapon to bare towards the outter flank of Lucian, the same place the most profitable wound had been made.
The Black Knight had paid witness to this attempt upon his life and did not care as he tried to strike once against at the Orc’s face.
Both combatants screamed as the scythe dug into the eye of the Orc and for Lucian to have felt the shattering of the metal against his skin. Chainmetal shattered as the axe had jutted into the side of the Black Knight.
Yet even as it was deep Lucian knew it was not Mortal. The Orc quickly retrieving his weapon and making space as he covered the bleeding eye.
