[SEEKER OF THE CITY] From what you recall of District 16, it has remarkably similar weather to the district you've living in now (i.e snowbound). After a quick shower, you adjust your new outfit accordingly. A thick winter jacket, snow pants, cotton gloves and boots.
Once that's done, you quickly ring up the numbers of the allies you're bringing. The first one to response is Adam. As the call connect, you immediately hear how exhausted he is. "Hello. This is the Bazaar of Delight. We're still closed due to an incident a few days ago. Please-"
"It's me." Your voice instantly gets his attention.
"Oh thank the Father." Adam mutters under his breath. The sounds of rattling pots and pans can be heard in the background. "Hey. You need me for a mission? Thank you. The last few days have been, well, stressful." You internally question how a mission is going to be any less stressful than whatever he's doing.
"Yeah. Is, uh, Benedict okay?"
"As okay as he can be. Small question, is your mission going to require any VIOLENCE?" You mull this over before you give your response.
"Hopefully not? It's a casino...heist investigation thing."
"Noted. Won't bring him along. I want to discuss something with you once this is all said and done. Where to meet?" You'd assume it's Benedict being dragged along on a mission. Well, it's not relevant right now.
"Train station. District 7. Mono Station, Alpha 1." "Noted. Will be there soon." You move onto the next phone call, which so happens to be Ashley. At first you thought it was your ringtone playing but you don't recall setting a punk rock ringtone. Then you realize, oh, the call connected.
"Hm?" Ashley's voice is barely heard over the roar of a guitar. "Hold on. Small break, got a call!" She yells out. Almost immediately, the song stops. You hear some shuffling before hearing her voice much clearer now. "Yo yo. Nicole, yeah? What's the issue here?"
"Got another mission. Ideally it won't be as violent as the last one. Casino thing, I'll tell you more when you arrive."
"Ah, damnit. I'm busy doing something. But $110 is $110..." She clicks her tongue. "Alright, alright. I'll be there. Give me an hour to finish this." And you're hung up before you can say anything. Something suddenly clicks. Wait, she plays in a band, and Kori said something about a guitar lady-
[UNSTABLE] Ashley. Ashton. Holy fucking shit WHO THE FUCK USES 'ASH' AS A NAMING SCHEME FOR THEIR CHILDREN???
You quickly dial up Max's phone number while trying your best not to cringe at the incredibly obvious naming scheme being used here. Knowing the last few phone calls made to her and Benjamin, it's probably a two-in-one deal. Hopefully it's not like last time where-
You're not going to think about it. You don't need to since you get picked up almost immediately. "Well well! Didn't expect to hear from you again so soon! What's the deal? You miss me or something?" Smugness oozes out of her voice. Best to get this over with.
