But don't you want to weave, anon? Don't you want to do something more reliable and certain? You spent so little time weaving once already, surely you could do it again? Just a little more? It's worth remembering also that you didn't bring Aegis with you. You brought an extension of her; a little avatar she inhabits. You are still correct in that Lily would be able to lead you to her, but it would not be quite as instant and unerring a trip as you might expect.
Rather than a quest marker saying "Talk to this NPC" you could think of it more like a circle on the minimap saying "your target is somewhere in this area". It's still very doable, but represents a relatively significant use of time rather than a trivial "pick her up on the way" type objective.

>"So why did we go directly to Maran? The votes were clear about the order of things: Find Aegis first, then find Maran."I went this way for a couple reasons, but the tl;dr is because it felt in character after weighing the overall voting sentiment.
Two votes mentioned finding Aegis, while all three of them eventually coalesced around finding and/or wrecking Maran's face. So there was a definite period of consideration where Irue would have gone "I'd really prefer to have Aegis with me for this..." Before shaking their head and deciding it wasn't as important.
Irue has prior experience with Maran and has no reason to believe she would be a danger that you, Lily and Scar could not handle.
Aegis, on the other hand, does not seem to be causing any trouble and has proven to be somewhat distant and quiet, yet still dutiful and diligent child. Unlike Lily, she's not an Apparition clamoring for your attention and approval anymore - She's an Aspiration. If the extent of her indulgence in the independence that comes with that is taking her time, it's a blessing.
So the compromise reached was to remind Aegis she had somewhere to be while moving ahead with your own plans.
Having gotten a preliminary look at what you're going into, you're welcome to insist on finding Aegis first if you'd like. I probably will not be updating until after thanksgiving, so there is plenty of time for anons to peek back in to change their votes, but I think this interpretation was acceptable?
