The courtroom of Remon was filled with the few Knights Errants who he had been gathering for the eradication of the Beastmen. Each of them not noticing Lucian, Adok, or even Tyny as the three of them came towards the throne of the Count.
Remon however noticed with his eyes opened wide as he caught sight of the Lizard, “By the Lady Lucian, what… what is that?”
“This ones is Tee-Ny-Tyny.” The Skink said with bow that would have placed many men ashamed.
“He is an ally of mines now, if you permit it.” Lucian said as he gave a smile, “This man is no beastman and his fellow helped in the killing of those I set out to eradicate. They have heard of the chaos approaching and have come to help.”
Lucian could see the confusion lacing the eyes of Remon as he heard those words, “Then they have good timing if they are Guardians. High King Alexandros has been killed fighting the Norseman Raiders from the north. There was no Heir Apparent for he had only a Daughter, so Bretonnia is without a King!”
“By Morr.” Lucian felt his heart leap with surprise as the news he already heard was confirmed once again.
“I pray to the Ancestor Gods that Thorgrim still stays upon his throne then.” Announced Adok as he marched forward, “Seems your wanting to strike against the undead is coming soon. The Empire also doesn’t have a King.”
“Coincidence, Tee-Ny-Tyny does not think.” The Lizardman said as he glanced at the Dwarf.
“My Lord!” One of the Errants called out with a mighty yell, “I ask that you release me from my task so that I may take the quest to kill the Jabberwock!”
“You are released.” The Count said quickly as he looked at the others, “The same for the rest of you. Leave this Castle and return to your homesteads, lest Chaos takes this chance to gain ground. If you wish to persue the right to becoming the next High King then you can seek the Jabberwock.”
There was a lot of calls coming from the young Knights who charged out of the room without care. So caught up they were in their own stories that they did not notice the Lizard who was licking his eyeball.
“Lucian, tell me why you were away and what happened. Then I can judge what to do with this creature.” The Count said as he glanced at the somewhat contained Lizardman.
