"That is true...", Shannon ponders for a whole second. "Now, I believe this part wasn't difficult, right, Robert?"
"For an university professor, he sure has a busy schedule", Robert starts flipping through his notes.
"They all have"
"Did you ever saw a professor working hard after getting tenure? It's a like a retirement with bonuses", you reply to her. Well, going to university at least gave you knowledge on human shitty behavour.
"Aside from professors being slaves to their own jobs...", Robert assists you against Shannon's almost impatient demand, "This man got a pretty busy life within elite, just like our boss said. I can understand Carie's target having one. I can't understand a tenure from Chicago University having one. He goes to clubs, fine restaurants, meet important people. One of my sources sent me a picture of him meeting with Jacqueline Stanley, socialite and niece of John Greer, owner of former Chicago's newspaper empire 'Sentinel', who inherited her uncle's networking; the owner of a five-star hotel chain 'Yama Diamond"; an arab lady who's probably filthy rich, but couldn't find anything about her; and that black wealth philanthropist, Bishop Blake. The last photo was before his disappearence last year, though. I got some other examples, but these are the ones got my attention the most. He also apparently has some minor influence in pagan communities."
"What else?"
Robert thinks for a second and everyone sees a lightbulb pops above his head. Shannon sighs discreetely in relief and Robert finishes once more flipping through his notes. "The connection our boss got sourced on about him and Carie's target is real. He and that guy traded one art object. A real and valuable art object. One of those stuff UNESCO wants to protect and make it back to its country. But it doesn't matter since the guy works for a legit art museum. Carie can confirm on her side as well. We can write a section on my article on how the original is at the hands of the professor."
"Keep on track, Robert. Carie's next, but 'til there I want more info. What else?"
