You don't have regular access to a computer - most people don't, not for personal use. And mail across nations might take weeks to deliver, given trains only operate a couple days of the week, or have to be delivered <span class="mu-i">on foot.</span> If you wanted him to have something by now, you should have sent it before your first sortie.
You have a small amount of stationery, but enough to send a letter. After putting together your thoughts, you put pen to paper.

<span class="mu-i">It's been a while, but I arrived a couple months ago, and finally remembered to send a letter! Sorry that it took me so long to get around to it. I have been very busy. With training at first, but then they started sending me on patrols. By the time I'm finished with most of them, I don't have much energy to do anything. This week I have time to myself, so I figured I should share some of that time with you.</span>
<span class="mu-i">Before you start worrying your head off, I've been doing fine. I've already had a few successful missions where I had to fight things! The organization is playing it very safe, I always have a higher level agent with me, there's someone watching my bodycam telling me what to do. I'm in safe hands Papa.</span>
<span class="mu-i">The Finns are a bashful folk. I think I have to pull them out of their little holes to get them to talk! But the Stormwatch is actually very multicultural. There's a man from Ireland, a </span>really tall<span class="mu-i"> girl from Nippon, and I'm certain most of the new recruits come from elsewhere like myself, but I've yet to meet a fellow German!</span>
<span class="mu-i">There are also some Americans over here, from stormy Chicago. They're not part of Stormwatch, but me and my mentor, Kiikoinen, met them at the bar. They are obnoxious, but friendly. Rambunctious. I'm not sure how much I'm allowed to tell you, but the stuff they work with is wild, so I'm eager to hear more if they'll tell me!</span>
<span class="mu-i">Thank you for helping me get this spot Papa. I miss home a lot, but I know there just wasn't the future I wanted waiting for me there. I think it just might be here. I'll figure out when it could be possible to visit! It might not be for months, but I'll let you know as soon as I can!</span>
