As you watch her walk away, Adam and Benjamin rejoin your group. Adam holds up his phone, "We managed to download some footage off of the system. Take a look." Your group huddles around him in order to watch it. It's still pretty shoddy quality wise but you manage to make out a few things of note.
On one of the VIP floors (you assume given the better furnishings such as leather chairs and chandeliers), Casey is talking with that fox-headed girl. There's no audio but from what you can make out, it seems to be involving some sort of paperwork that Kana is shoving at her face. The two continue to yell at each other but it doesn't seem to be an argument. Both are INCREDIBLY worried about whatever that paperwork is showing.
Kana then disappears off camera. Casey proceeds to collapse onto a chair with her hands on her head, sweating bullets. The footage then cuts off from there. Interesting. "What the hell could they be worried about?" Ashley is the first one to prop the question.
"Probably something about their money situation somehow?" Adam gives a half shrug. "That's all I could think of. You don't look THAT worried when showing someone paperwork unless you're fucked."
"I concur." Max nods along. "Doesn't make any sense, though. She could've faked the numbers if she wanted to, right?"
"Maybe we're misreading the situation. It could be about something completely different. Maybe some memo from the higher ups of this place?" Benjamin offers his own idea. No one can really come to a conclusion on which is the right answer...which should hopefully be solved by actually talking to Casey.
"Let's go talk to her. We could talk ourselves in circles all day but it's not going to get us anywhere." You point out to the others. Your allies nod along, not really having a better idea on how to handle this situation. Your group proceeds to make a beeline to the VIP section's stairs. The guards notice Max and quickly move to the side, letting you pass. Odd but you won't dwell on it too long.
The first floor of the VIP section is an overly haughty mess of golden chandlers, tacky decorations, and the same gambling tables as the regular floor but with some sprucing up applied. Crowds of people in tacky suits and dresses crowd around the tables with the same fervor as the soulless gambling addicts only a floor below. The only thing that really appeals to you is the oddly calming music being played on the speakers.
Given the weird looks being given to you by the rich clientele here, it's clear your group stand out like a sore thumb (with the exception of Max). Your group carries on to the second floor. Same thing as the first VIP floor but with a different crowd. You do spot someone else who stands out in the crowd of suits and high class dresses.
A young and modestly dressed woman paces around in a large lounge area, seemingly having too much energy to sit down. You found your target. Your group moves in to confront her.
