There was at first no response to the knocks that Lucian gave. The Knight listened carefully to see if anyone was going to respond yet nothing came. As a peasant and if he was alone Lucian would not have cared one bit about this. The issue though was this was surely not the case. Lucian was both a Noble and with people who should not bear more troubles than he could prevent.
So the Knight knocked on the door once more while asking if there was anyone in there.
“S-stop! Please!” A cry came from inside the large building, “We are closed!”
“We are road weary travelers.” Lucian said as he focused on the voice.
It rang again, this one clearly being that of an older man, “Sir if you value your livelihood you should leave our village. Leave us in peace for this final night.”
Lucian looked towards Adok with confusion, the Dwarf giving a raised brow to the Knight. Leaning in towards them now was Tyny, balancing on the hand of Bok with a curious look that was more fitting to the creature that he was.
“You sound like a deadman.” Adok yelled through the door with a deep dwarfish bellow, “A deadman you don’t seem to be though and no ones around to kill you.”
“They… they will not be there today.” the voice said in what was close to a whimper, “Tomorrow is the day, tomorrow is the day the Baron comes to take our heads.”
There was a series of bellows from Bok, the creature understanding that he needed to keep them quite so that the people on the other side could not hear them. How a lizard who seemed too dull for such reasoning was beyond Lucian but Tyny translated for them.
“Three Warmbloods are inside that inn. A mating pair and their offspring, Tyny understands them to be.” The Lizard gave with some confidence.
“Well it looks like we are going to have the same problem all around.” Adok said as he pointed to another of the huts whose windows were also barricaded, “Either we get inside this place or we are sleeping outside.”
>Using authority, pressure the Peasants into giving in
>Promise to help them with the issue if they give lodging
>Lets sleep outside.
