Just as she said the two of them left the gardens right for the dukes. The Grail Knight had at one point left the two of them for the Temple of Morr, likely heading straight to the mausoleum to defend the Garden until another convent of Priests can either arrive from abroad or be inspired by Morr to take residence at the place.
They went straight for Castle Bastonne without any thought of looking back. Lucian wondered now what to think of this, how his person was not only allowed to look upon the structures that were held within but even approach the building that once served as the home of Gilles the Uniter.
There were no Yeoman standing guard in front of the keep but instead those that appeared to be Knights Errants. However the faces that they were holding, those of fear and confusion, showed to Lucian that they were like Peasants within the presence of the Damsel of the Lady. So great was her existence and honor that none questioned why she had a Peasant carrying armor walking behind her.
As they were walking numerous men riding horses were already running up to them. These were the Knight Errants who were running across the countryside looking for the Necromancer. The light of Mannslieb glistened off their armor as each of the men looked upon the pair with astonishment.
It was when the woman stopped at the head of a pair of Knights that Lucian realized who they were. The splendid dress and plums telling the Peasant of their ducal rank. These were the two Lords to whom Lucian currently owes his service to.
“Alberea? Why have you brought Lucian here? Is it true that he found the Corpse of Grail Knight Osmont?” Duke Guion spoke as he sounded almost haggard of breath.
“I can confirm that Lucian has done what was requested. If it was not for him then I would not have found the leak of dark magics. From what I saw of Osmont, if left for a day then Necromancers would have raised the Grail Knight.”
“Is that so?” He sounded almost surprised at those words, turning towards Lucian looking for the confirmation.
