>You saw the ever grinning face of Lucos waters, ser Duncan's ''other'' squire, a man grown, you heard once he was of kings landing somewhere called the ''bottoms'' whatever that meant, odd company but a familar face was a start. [Cynic]
>Their was information to learn from the idle talk, be it of the coming meeting of houses, of the port of Dragonstone or even your own house. [Illicit information]
Lucos waters was a man grown, older than your brother by a handful of years, he’d been squiring with ser Duncan since the arrival of lady Grafton and for the life of you you could not imagine how a man could remain a squire for so long , did he not dream of greater things in life? He grinned at you with yellow-white teeth but you saw caution in his eyes at your scowl .
‘’easy Alyn, I meant nothing by it, what brings you here lad?’’ his tone carried the baser touches of peasantry and it pricked at you that he didn’t venture to call you even milord.
’’I wanted to see the soldiers deck’’ you answered, not wanting to display your full intentions.
Lucos’s eye’s merely twinkled in the dim light curiously before he sighed and brought a wineskin to his lips and took a swig, whatever was within had him grimacing afterwards though his smile was not far from his lips.
’’Bored eh?’’ he ventured before continuing ’’Duncan would have my head if he knew you were down here alone though, you might be kin to his lordship but the lad's are ready to war and it makes them too keen, if you catch my meaning’’ something dark blemished his smile for a small moment that left you curious, more so than the informal nature of which he spoke of ser Duncan, you saw opportunity though.
but I’m not alone, am I Lucos? you offered carefully with a thin smile.
Lucos grinned again, something told you he enjoyed your ploy.
’’Aye lad, you aren’t’’
