Okay, it's very obvious everyone's avoiding the right maze because it's trapped or has some nasty trick to it but that's going to be your ticket to winning this course you think. Your goal is to get to the flag at any cost and anything else is secondary. Well, keeping your friend alive isn't secondary but-
[UNSTABLE] LET'S BE HONEST IT MIGHT BE A GOOD THING. TRIM THE FAT. WE ONLY NEED OURSELVES. OUR WORLD, YOU, IS ALL THAT MATTERS.
[SEEKER OF THE CITY] No. We would live on through the will of the City. Someone would take our place. Someone always will.
Fuck, the voices are getting louder. Best to keep moving before you have another incident. You head towards the section of trenches to the right. It's pretty damn deep from the looks of it. Probably twenty feet deep, way too deep for a normal trench. There's no real way to get down there besides jumping down so your brace yourself. Bend your knees, tuck your head in, jump, ROLL.
You land at the bottom of the trench without shattering any bones! Woo! Seems like outside of some wooden planks being used as the floor and as support, this trench is pretty barren. Barely any signs of anyone having gone down here in ages-
CRACK!
[RASH] Kiara, in all of her infinite wisdom, simply dropped down feet first without even bothering to tuck and roll. Good news, she didn't take any damage. Bad news, the plank she landed on shattered under her metallic weight, sending a mixture of sand and dirt flying up. The crack echoes throughout the trench for anyone inside ot hear.
You glare at Kiara.
"I'm not exactly flexible and we're on a time crunch!" She hisses out. Seems like the sounds of the stimulated war are dampened by the walls of dirt around you, you actually managed to hear her this time. "An hour is pretty unforgiving considering the distance we gotta cross."
"Fair." You murmur in response, can't fault he there. "Gimme a moment." You get a curious look from the android but she doesn't press you.
Deep breath in. You feel your brain starting to fry under the strain of using your power. You swear you taste blood in your mouth as you try your damndest to focus. An observant person might notice sparks of pink-tinted energy gathering around the edges of your eyes.
"Woah..." And it seems like Kiara noticed. "How the hell are you doing that?" SNAP! She took a picture. Great.
>-1 RESTRAINT. 4/8 LEFT. CAUTION ADVISED.
>24! PASS!
It takes a lot to focus out a lot of the background and irrelevant noise around you. It's almost like dialing a radio to get the frequency you want. You manage to narrow down to focus on the paths aside of you. Seems like there's three main paths in this maze of trenches you got yourself stuck in. Left, right, straight ahead.
But your mental radar lights up like a fucking firework for the right and left path. Absolute death trap of at least thirty dots each. The middle one only has a handful. You put on your nightvision googles before heading down the middle path.
