Your mind locks into three choices - O-01-59 (You know this one), T-04-146, and M-03-59. Low, medium, and high. Makes sense to you.
You point towards the plaque. "I think we'd dealt with that one before. Remember the casino?"
Benjamin and Max take a moment to remember that mission, it was so long ago, but both realize who it is.
"Eugh. Wasn't she all mismatched organs and meat stuffed into a dress?" Max grimaces at the memory.
"Mmh. I recall we handled her quite easily last time we encountered her."
"Do you have to, though?"
"Hey." Lex places a hand on Max's and Benjamin's shoulder. "Look. It's a low risk thing, yeah? You guys weren't attacked by it before, right?"
The two nod.
"Then it should be easy! That's that, right?"
Max opens her mouth to argue but whatever argument she cooked up dies before she say it. "Fine. Three cells...two per cell?"
"Oh fuck no." You vigorously shake your head. "Two for HEART ON MY SLEEVE, four for the unknown MEDIUM CLASS. I'm saving the HIGH RISK one for last."
Maruyama lets out a sigh of relief. "Oh, I was worried for a second, ha! I'm guessing those two are going to deal with the, uh, 01-59 thing. Right?"
You nod. "Makes the most sense, right?"
No one really argues. No one wants to be the first schmuck to get merced by an anomaly; Especially not to whatever anomaly is hidden inside the only HIGH CLASS CELL on this floor.
"Before we split up," You hand out the FAKE ANTLERS, SOVIET CLOCKHANDS and POCKETWATCH to your more tech savvy allies. "Try to make something out of these. I doubt we'll have free time to, uh, make stuff later."
"Hey, wait, I'm not good with-" Max shuts up when she checks the SOVIET CLOCKHANDS and POCKETWATCH closely. "Huh. My grandpa actually taught me something about clocks lately. He was cryptic about it, something about lingering in the past..."
Maruyama suddenly finds the ceiling to be far more appealing to look at than anyone else in the group.
Max takes the hint. "Alright! Let's do this."
"I AM not the BEST at MECHANICS but. YOU LEARN some HERE and there. Adam taught me some."
"Let's finish this posthaste, shall we?"
And with that, those three are busy working on whatever anomalous goodie they can salvage out of those ingredients. That leaves you with Lex and Maruyama. You think it's about time you talked to and checked up on Maru. It's been a while and none of the missions you went required his skill set that much.
"So-"
"I don't mind." Maruyama warmly smiles. "I was never really cut out for that kind of work anyways. Kiara, Frank, Benedict, Alexis, they made the cut."
"C'mon." Lex shakes his head. "Nicky worked with a buncha different guys and gals. Ya sure you couldn't have done anythin' useful? I think that's, uh, silly."
"Yeah, I have to agree with Lex. It was bad luck. It wasn't really your fault or, heck, because I thought you were incompetent."
"I get that." Maruyama fiddles with the handle of his sheathed sword. "What did you actually want to talk about?"
