There was also the unusual alternative of trying to get in contact with Olivia Octavius. You’d heard rumors that she wasn’t entirely unwilling to work with people that had a criminal background. The hard part would be convincing her to spend her time on a relatively small-time crew like yours.
The Vulture was sort of a viable option as well. Sure, he probably hated your guts, but a healthy infusion of cash might change his opinion of you in a big way. And if that didn’t pan out, there were still two options left.
During your desperate search, two names came back to you from multiple sources. There was the “Mad Thinker”, a man of frightening intellect who worked with many small-time criminal groups for reasons unknown. Very little was known about him, aside from the fact that he most likely fell under the category of “super-villain”, an apparently important distinction from Cat and Prowler’s perspective.
And your final candidate was someone who simply referred to themselves as “The Inventor”. From what Flint told you, they were located somewhere in Jersey City and were interested in setting up a meeting between the three of you. Admittedly, you knew even less about this character, but they sounded like someone who might be willing to be taken on as a permanent hire.
