>>5953979It wasn't like you were malnourished, even by Saiyan standards, as you could sustain yourself eating like an earthling. It's only when you start to really burn through your ki that you feel inclined to indulge in acts of gluttony. But then again, you weren't unique about it as eating dozens upon dozens of bowls worth of food is typical martial arts behavior. Ki wasn't something that came out of nowhere, and the more of your natural energies are exhausted, naturally the more nourishment one requires to replenish your natural reserves. Even Bulma wasn't immune to this when experimenting with ki on her own. You just happened to hate starving yourself just to keep your energy and nourishment intake to that of non-martial artists. Those daily over fifty full-course meals were important to your Saiyan biology.
You have a hyperbolic fast metabolism, so it wasn't like your ravenous and seemingly insatiable appetite was going to make you fat or suffer indigestion/cramps. Even so, it's hard to keep one's appearance in school if you fully indulge in gluttony eating without a care. Not even the excuse of "Those muscles don't grow and sustain themselves" wasn't gonna cut it. It was far easier for a boy to be allowed to be at their peak performance than it was for a girl. As you currently stand, you were rather tall for a girl of your age. 5'8 to be exact, quite tall for human standards, but given you are a Saiyan, you had yet to start your second puberty. No, you were destined to be a full-grown Amazon by the time you hit adulthood. And there was still the final growth spurt when you hit your mid to late twenties.
Add in that Saiyans can keep their youthful appearances till their eighties, and it is safe to say you were set to live quite the boisterous life. The fact that martial artists, especially ki-influenced ones can greatly slow one's aging process through consistent usage only shows how stacked you are to maintaining your good looks. Hell, it was the second main selling point why Bulma got into the medium, the first was due to her research. Ki/Qi keeping people young has always been a thing, but both the preservation and cosmetics aspects were something that flew by most people. At least until recent years, no thanks to the Blue Brooch Army. But hey, you couldn't complain, it gave yet another thing to bond with Bulma over.
Making your way into the crowd once more, your eyes catch precisely what you are looking for. A dance floor that was currently in use as people took turns showing off their moves. Finally, you had validation for having to put up with having to pick a suitable scholarship program through club activities. Yet was given the stipulation that you couldn't do stuff like soccer or volleyball since it would be far too unfair otherwise. Thus, you were stuck with...ōendan, also called cheerleading and by extension dance squad. It was either this or gymnastics and Bulma already chose for you, much to your chagrin.
