“Are you girls fine with answering trivia questions?” You meekly propose.
“That’s the best you got…? Works fine, I guess.” Carol isn’t impressed but she’s understanding.
“What kind of trivia?” Vortexia is asking the real questions as she wobbles.
“Anything really.” You shrug.
“And the punishment?” Carol raises an eyebrow.
“You’re going to lose one piece of clothing of your choosing.” You’re open about your horny intentions. Their reaction doesn’t allow you to add the cake bit.
“W-What did you say…?” Vortexia is in utter disbelief.
“You want us to strip?” Emily gets even redder somehow. Everyone is bewildered!
“...This guy also lost his mind a long time ago and we didn’t notice.” Carol shakes her head rapidly. “The cake’s curse is real. Shame on us for not noticing. Mainly you two.”
“Blaming us? You’re disgraceful. You’re the root cause of all of this.” Emily can’t believe the gall of this idol!
“Excuse me? Did I feed him the cake? Or was it you?!” Carol gets accusatory. “He wasn’t much of a horndog when I met him!” You weren’t? Carol probably lives in denial or you really showed some resilience back then.
“I-I thought it’d cheer him up.” Emily didn’t foresee this conclusion. “I didn’t know this would happen...”
“You were all gung-ho about backing up Johnny’s claims. In our heart of hearts, I know you knew what you were doing.” Carol doesn’t believe a word from your date. “No harm done, you were just a little too excited, I know it’s your first date. We’ll overcome this together.”
“I-I don’t know what you take me for, but I always keep my emotions in check. I’m not a clueless teenager.” Emily feels deeply offended by being implied to be like ‘other girls’ and discombobulated by the fact that anyone could think that of her.
“E-Emily, there’s no shame, he’s a cute guy, and you ate the cursed cake.” Carol didn’t mean to get her upset. “These are much better excuses than whatever Clutz can say.”
“What are you pointing fingers at me for?!” Clutz can’t believe anything that is happening, but this is too much even for her.
“You’re the one holding up the best! That makes you default responsible.” Carol thinks she has a point.
“I literally couldn’t think!” Clutz frowns.
“That’s no different than normal and you know it.” Carol won’t be convinced otherwise. “But we’re all here to get past our previous issues, and deal with... this. We need to fix this guy so he can fix me, err, us.”
