You leave Ashley and her bandmates in the trustful watch of your allies - Of course, you'd probably still want to bring a few to help with negotiations. Thinkin' on who you should bring along...
W-CORP: Max and Casey. They have personal experience with W-Corp + if he's like Wendy you'd probably want some people pleasers.
U-CORP: Benjamin. He's a fellow RESEARCHER.
D-CORP: Clover. He used to live there. He'd relate with the D-Corp Rep.
G-CORP: Kiara. Fellow SEEKER.
Besides. Six people all crowding around the same table would be real shady looking.
"Clover." You'll start with D-Corp first. "Follow me."
"Sure, partner."
You and Clover break away from the group so they can keep an eye on Ashley. You'll have to decide how to handle her once she's actually aware of her surroundings.
The android doesn't bother looking up from his paperwork to greet the two of you. That might also be because looking up would be hard for him. A thick layer of rust, caked over in metallic polish to 'hide' it, is visible around his neck.
His dull red LEDs blankly stare down on piles on piles of paperwork. Four glasses of white wine and a juicy ribeye steak, both untouched, lay interspaced through the paperwork.
Clover tries his best to get the android's attention. "Ey, partner. You should probably eat that before it gets too cold."
"Mmh." The D-Corp Rep shrugs. "Cold, hot. Doesn't matter if I don't get this done."
"Well, I got someone who can help you with that paperwork. Does SEATH FOXTROT ring a bell?"
The android's writing hand immediately freezes up. He strains to look up at the two of you. His metallic face, missing the typical latex faux-skin that lets androids properly emote, is locked into a bored frown.
Yet his voice reveals his actual interest. "That so? You've met this man before? I need proof-"
You hold out the piece of OBSCURITÉ FABRIC you got from Seath's outfit. This seems to be more than enough for the android.
"Hm. That trims down a lot of. Paperwork, if I could get his approval." The D-Corp Rep sets aside 90% of the paperwork he was working on. From what you gleamed, it's mostly approval for research materials and certain rare test subjects. "How may I help you?"
You imagine Seath is going to hate you once he realizes what you threw onto him.
>-2 D-CORP FAVOR. 3 LEFT.
"Simple." Clover sits down on a chair right across from the android. "I, well, ya might not think it but I used to live back in your district."
"A Ranger? Living there?" The D-Corp Rep shakes his head (as well as he can) at the idea. "Couldn't imagine it."
"Ah, I was a young kid. Back when the previous D-Corp was a thing. And, well, I want to find a way to help those who weren't as fortunate as me."
You did make a promise to Clover that you'd help, "And, as you can see, we're already making ties with D-Corp."
The D-Corp rep sighs, "A foolish dream. I've been working with versions of D-Corp since 2171. I've thought or tried the same things you two are babbling about."
