>>5718126>>5718127>>5724499>>5730999Some random tables I am thinking of for SPACE OPERA game. Firstly, the reason for Exodus: (not sure yet about these weightings)
01-05 FLOOD
06-10 MARINE POLLUTION, eutrophication
11-15 TECTONIC quakes, volcanicity
16-25 DESERTIFICATION, soil erosion, famine, species extinction
26-35 PANDEMIC plague, pestilence and infestation
36-65 CIVIL WAR, religious / ideological persecution

91-95 TECHNOSINGULARITY machine sentience, cybernetic revolt
96-97 NANOMACHINES nanopocalypse
98-99 FUTURE SHOCK mass psychosis/hysteria, psychic awakening
100 METEORS or Solar Flare / Magnetosphere
***
For these two planet generation tables, 00 denotes 100
00-09 AGRONOMIC can also be aeroponic or aquaculture etc
10-19 INDUSTRIAL heavy manufacturing
20-29 MINING resource extraction, can also be asteroid
30-39 PLEASURE paradise sanctuary / garden refuge
40-49 TRADE administration or ecumenopolis
50-59 SHRINE pilgrimage planet
60-69 FORTRESS sentinel, stronghold world; heavily militarised
70-79 PENAL COLONY incarceration
80-89 TOMB war grave, relic vaults
90-99 DEATH toxic inhabitable or shattered planets
00-09 ATOLL coral island lagoon
10-19 DESERT arid
20-29 FOREST temperate broadleaf/deciduous
30-39 JUNGLE tropical / monsoon / rainforest
40-49 MOUNTAIN xeric shrubland
50-59 SAVANNAH
60-69 STEPPE grasslands
70-79 TUNDRA
80-89 ICE arctic
90-99 LAVA barren
I am thinking of replacing DEATH WORLD with maybe something like barbarian or savage world (wanted to avoid the wh40k connotations, but ironically feral or feudal world itself also 40k). I am also thinking of replacing savannah and steppe with just grasslands, and having a separate category like Megafauna Forest (those weird dinosaur tree era forests?) because from a gameplay perspective cannot really distinguish between semi-arid and temperate grasslands. Maybe another type of world would be an arcology or constructed ecology (or could this be an upgrade, not a world generation roll?)
