"..." <<span class="mu-b">"She really doesn't know, huh? And it's not like any Ace Strikers were left for a revenge hit. Who the fuck could've hired hi- Shit, she's probably reading my mind, isn't she?</span>> "Look. We'll talk about this later. I'm following you home, that's beyond question." She lets go of you and storms into the bar, leaving you alone in the ice cold weather.
You pick yourself back off the ground. That could've gone better but at least you have confirmation she's related to him. Before you follow after your allies, you pick up your phone and dial Mr. Sukane's phone number. Might as well talk to him, no?
You almost thought he wasn't going to pick up but you eventually hear a man pick up the phone. "Hello. I believe you're Miss Nicole, correct? The one my associate recommended that I should work with?"
"Correct, sir." You nod your head despite the fact you're calling someone over the phone. He can't see that, idiot, stop it. "I would like to make an inquiry into the services you could possibly provide to me?"
"Hm." The line goes silent. The only thing you can make out that confirms he hasn't gone is the incessant tick-tock of a clock in the background. Well, it's more like a dozen clocks ticking in the background.
[SEEKER OF THE CITY] T-Company is associated with time, punctuality, and an overall remarkable professionalism compared to other Companies. While other corporations have their own flavors of complete insanity or their own bizarre customs, T-Company's only flaw is a VERY strict view on productivity and punctuality.
"Considering you were able to partially resolved its issues, given my call to an associate of yours by the name of Mr. Foxtrot, I can offer you this much right now. Time is money and you have money, so I shall offer you some time. How much time do you wish to buy?"
"What?" You tilt your head in confusion. "What do you mean 'buy time'?"
"Simply put, Ms. Nicole, I can push your schedule around. To give you some breathing room. A few more hours to prepare before a mission. A day to prevent someone from finding where you're at. A week to speed up your training. As long as you have the cash necessary to do so. Though, these are remarkably expensive, so I would use them wisely. I'll text you my prices later. See you around."
You promptly get hung up on. How vague and ominous but if he's even remotely truthful about his services, that could be very, VERY valuable. Though, it's probably best to meet up with your allies now. You head into the bar and scan around to see where your allies at. The four of them are at the back, sitting at a booth with a steel table that's threatening to rust away into nothingness.
You approach the table, passing by the counter and the maze of steel chairs and tables around you. You're more interested in talking to your allies and getting drunk than taking in the details of yet another bar you probably won't visit again.
"Hey, Nicole!" Benjamin waves at you. "C'mon! Let's get drunk!"
