For those Anons who play OC quests as opposed to fanon quests; what is your favorite method for these original settings to be explored or revealed by the QM?
>Slowly unfolding as a sort of "mystery" game
>Lore dumps but without too much heavy exposition
>Directly explained by QM in Q/A or with various blurbs when they come up / MC narrates obvious things
>MC is isekai'd or cultural outsider so it's explained to them in a more immersive way by other characters
>Generic or standard enough that it doesn't require much explanation (modern day, fantasy slop, etc.)
>Other?
While I usually do the "mystery" method for my quest, which also gives the benefit of being able to make things on the fly, it also some problems like meaning the world is smaller in scope or players feeling misled by missing vital setting information their character should realistically know. Given worldbuilding and exposition is inevitable in any given quest with an original setting I'm curious what people's favorite methods and approaches are.
