Lucian starred the Knight of the Realm down. The warrior clearly not thinking less of his deeds and was instead enthused with the challenge that Lucian was presenting to him. Such a foolish man Lucian did not have any respect for. Even if he was a peasant it would be questionable if he really had any claims of respect or relevance with the Knight.
“Baron Budapest,” Lucian started as he raised his scythe towards the warrior, “A righteous Knight has the strength of twenty upon his beck and call. For this you are outnumbered two to one against us. Running would be something none would argue against if you turned now.”
“You really think you need to reiterate your righteousness when I have already explained to you the folly of such words.” The Baron said as he raised his lance, “The truth of the matter is that I have the numbers and you do not. The Lady blesses me.”
“Fine.” Lucian said as he brought Nightshade forward, “A duel then, for the lives of those present? Surely you have enough honor to even consider such a thing. Or perhaps you will simply try to cut us all down without care.”
“Such a thing I would consider,” The Knight said as he had an obvious smirk under his helm, “But the truth of the matter is that you are but a Peasant wearing the armor of a Knight. Clearly you becoming an Errant has caused you to think that you stand equals to a Knight of the Realm like myself. As I have no one who is equal to your level, I decline your request.”
The Knight raised his hands into the air, which upon such a command caused the archers to raise their bows into the air.
“May the one who is blessed by the Lady live past this day, peasant.”
With those words the man’s hand dropped, the arrows being released from the bows of the Yeoman.
